Vitus Evans is a seasoned Jamaican attorney-at-law and the principal of Vitus Evans & Associates, a respected legal practice located in Kingston, Jamaica, offering expert counsel and representation across a range of legal matters. Mr. Evans served as Executive Director of the Betting, Gaming & Lotteries Commission (BGLC) — Jamaica’s principal regulatory authority for gaming industries — from May 2017 until his planned departure in April 2026. During his tenure, he played a central role in modernizing regulatory frameworks, advancing online gaming legislation, and implementing systems for real-time oversight of licensed gaming operations across the island. Before joining the BGLC, Vitus developed broad experience in governance, corporate leadership and industry advocacy.
